NORLITO M. BULANDRES – Lito is a B.S. Chemical Engineering graduate of Southwestern University in Cebu City and a professionally registered chemical engineer. He has extensive trainings in mud engineering, drilling, pipe inspection, pressure control, equipment preventive maintenance, and general safety. He started his working career in 1977 at PNOC as drilling and mud engineer. He was later promoted to drilling superintendent and was subsequently a drilling manager at the end of his stint in 1988. From 1988 to 1991, he was connected with AREP as drilling engineer in the geothermal operations in Japan. He became a consultant mud engineer with M-I Swaco/Euro Products Inc. from 1991 to 2008 for different operators with areas of operations in Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Korea, and Qatar. These operators include Aref, Unocal, California Energy, Japex, Santos Ltd, Premier Oil, Lihir Gold Mine, Nations Petroleum, KNOC, RasGas, QatarGas, Maersk and GDI Qatar. In 2008 he joined EDC/Thermaprime in the Philippines as drillsite manager in its different drilling locations. He recently joined FEDS Energy as associate-consultant for mud engineering, drilling operations and management services.
