LARRY VIC C. CARBONEL
– Larry holds a B.S. Geology degree from the University
of the Philippines and a M.S. Computer Science degree
from AMA Computer University. He attended several
training programs in geology, geophysics, geochemistry
and petroleum exploration. He started his career in
1994-96 as a Geologist with Basic Petroleum and Minerals
Inc. where he was involved with the evaluation of the
Lingayen Gulf and Mindoro Strait areas. In 1996-1997 he
had a stint with the Oil and Gas Division of the
Department of Energy monitoring E&P activities in the
Philippines. From 1997-2001, he was back in Basic
Petroleum as its Senior Geologist where he headed its
Petroleum Operations Department and handled the
company’s exploration program. He then worked with
Philaqua Consultants Inc. from 2001-2003 as a
Hydrogeologist/Database Specialist in the company’s
long-term consultancy service contract with Maynilad
Water Services, Inc. where he handled its Groundwater
Database System and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Beginning 2000 up to 2003, he worked part-time with the
First Exploration and Development Services and took up
consultancy assignments with Forum Exploration, Inc. and
JAPEX. From 2003-2006, he worked with SAFEGE Consulting
Engineers and was assigned in Kuwait and in Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia where he worked as GIS Specialist, Database
Manager, Quality Control Administrator, etc. He joined
FEDS Energy in 2007. From 2009 to 2013, he worked
fulltime as GIS Manager and Field Supervisor with
Geo-Miocrobial Technologies International (Paris,
France). In 2013 up to 2015, he joined PT Basic Energi
Solusi as General Manager and later as Wellsite
Geologist and Technical Consultant in their Indonesia
Oil Project. From 2015 to present, he is a Senior
Geologist and Manager for Southeast Asia Region,
Offshore Operations and GIS of E&P Geo Field Services,
Ltd. (Singapore). He is currently a director of FEDS Energy
based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
